RIP Kurt Vonnegut 1922-2007
While I rarely care when famous people die, I feel the need to post about this one because, well, it was Kurt Vonnegut. His writing never failed to make me laugh or to question the world around me in some way or another. He's one of the reasons I decided I wanted to be a writer, and I'm sad I'll never get to read a new story by him again.

Suppose it's time I updated this thing, so here we go, my summer in bullet points (yay bullet points!)
- Kicked off with Memorial Day weekend with Sasquatch, which was awesome but really really tiring. Hooray for ice storms!
- Relaxed for quite a bit of time, doing copious amounts of booze and weed.
- Took a basic lit class where I wanted to kill most of my class, got a B+
- More relaxing.
- Went to L.A. to visit friends and family, had the best prime rib ever, saw many movies, got kicked out for an awful drunken episode I don't feel like revisiting here.
- Quit drinking, weed and cigarettes.
- Capped off the summer with Labor Day weekend at the Gorge to see DMB on Saturday (awesome) and then Bumbershoot on Sunday (also awesome).
So yeah, there's my summer. Hope you enjoyed the quick recap. See you all again in about 3 or 4 months when I update again.

After a long hiatus of updating this shit, mostly because I haven't had an internet connection of my own, I'm back. And much has changed. Let's see...I'm no longer working security. Or any job for that matter. I'm back in college, which feels pretty damn good. Life moving forward and all that jazz. I started smoking again. Quitting was...yeah, not meant to be for now. Don't plan on keeping it up, but for now, it helps with things. Last few days have been kind of stressful since I had a couple tests. Got B's on both of them though, so I'm happy for that.
Now it's off to cook myself some ramen, as I haven't eaten all day except for a nutrigrain bar this morning before sociology. Yay for life.
